New parental program

We've heard what matters to you! Announcing more flexibility for new mothers and fathers.

Say hello to the newest member of our ExxonMobil family of workplace flexibility programs!

As a company, we strive to attract and support our talented workforce through the different stages of life.  Bringing a new child into a family is an important life event and ExxonMobil wants to assist our employees through this experience.  We’re introducing a new option in our workplace flexibility programs:  the U.S. Parental Paid Time Off Program.  This enhancement is part of the package that makes ExxonMobil an employer of choice.

Let’s talk details

What is it?  8 weeks of paid time off for mothers and fathers after the birth or adoption of a child.  These 8 weeks may be taken continuously or in one-week increments and must be used within 12 months from the birth/adoption date.  This time is in addition to existing programs and short-term disability provisions.

When does this start?  Mothers and fathers of children born or adopted on or after July 1, 2017 are eligible for 8 weeks of paid time off.

Who can use PPTO?  The program applies to U.S. payroll, non-represented, regular employees and U.S. payroll expatriates.
